I have been asked to start a prayer group for any female members of CLC who are free on a late Tuesday morning.

Click here to have a look for us on the church calendar.

IĀ hadn’tĀ envisaged this myself but. after some time of prayer on the subject, God gave me the phrase, ‘Pause and Pray’ as a name and a vision for the group. So many people – even those who are retired – live a very busy life in the city.

I am grateful to God who gave us a home in the quiet, peaceful countryside. We left our Devon home of more than 30 years because we felt God was calling us to a ‘hospitality mission’ here in Hereford. We try and follow the message of Hebrews 13:2 ‘Stay on good terms with each other, held together by love. Be ready with a meal or a bed when its needed. Why, some have extended hospitality to angels without ever knowing it’

So we have random couples and families to stay for a time of rest and relaxation. We also want to share our home with the church family as much as possible, so that the reason for the groups name. You are all very welcome to come and pause from your busy lives. First we’ll have a time of focused prayer, from 11:30am. Then, those who have the time, are asked to stay on for a basic country lunch. We offer homemade bread and soup when its cool and bread and salad when its warm. If you need anything more substantial, please bring it with you.

Marg Phelps has kindly offered to co-ordinate transport. So, if you need a lift, please contact the office on 01432271071 and they will put you in touch.

We live at ‘Windermere’, on the main road through Holme Lacy, next to the big black and white village hall.

Many thanks
