At Christian Life Centre we have three focuses:

We see worship as a lifestyle. When we meet together we desire to worship passionately and truly meet with God. We recognize our need for God and seek His help through fervent prayer

Church is to be a family of God’s people who express genuine fellowship and love, and encourage and stimulate one another to grow in our faith (discipleship).

Transform society

We seek to reach out to our community (Community Action) and the world with the good news in word and deed(evangelism)

As a church we value being:

Godward

We value being CHRIST CENTERED. We are followers of Jesus and honor Him as our Head aiming to live our lives in obedience to Him

We value being SPIRIT LED.  We seek to respond to the Holy Spirit as our Counselor in life and ministry and expect His powerful presence to help us in a variety of ways.

We value the WORD OF GOD. The Bible is our final authority. It shapes our approach to life and ministry.


Inward

We value RELATIONSHIPS. The church is God’s family. Healthy relationships are as important as the church’s activities. We value mutual respect, open communication, integrity, determined cooperation, believing & speaking the best about each other.

We value EVERY MEMBER MINISTRY. The church can only function in all its potential as every member does its part. In God’s family God has given significant function to everybody

We value LEADERSHIP. God places and gifts leadership in His church. It is characterised by a servant heart and exercised in team. We aim to exercise our authority with humility, sacrifice, grace, care, and a sincere desire to build up the Body of Christ.

We value TRAINING & EQUIPPING. God calls and enables believers to express the talents, gifts, and ministries that He has placed within them. The orientation of all ministry is the integration of biblical truth into everyday living that impacts our community and beyond.

We value REALITY. We aim to walk in the Spirit and see real supernatural works of God. We aim also to function on the natural level based on God’s leading and in conjunction with excellent, rational thinking.

We value GENEROSITY. We are stewards of God’s gifts and resources. We do not own our ministries, so they are not ours to keep.

We value RISK TAKING. We know that gifting develops in an environment of trial-and-error, so we are willing to be patient with people’s weaknesses and failures while they learn.


Outward

We value MISSIONS. Our call is to go into the entire world. God’s church is worldwide.

We value UNITY. We recognise that all who belong to Christ are one in His Body. We respect all Christians seeking unity and to serve the wider church, rejoicing in its diversity.

We value being INCLUSIVE. The church should be open to and value people from all races, backgrounds, age groups, abilities

We value our place in the COMMUNITY. We believe that the church is placed in the community to be salt and light. We aim to serve people, especially those that are poor and needy with the compassion & mercy that are part of God’s character.

We value being CULTURALLY CURRENT. We aim to develop an atmosphere of ease, and to speak, act, and dress in ways in which our culture can respond positively. For example, we reflect this value through worship music that is of a popular style.
