“Jesus said: It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick…For I have come not to call the righteous but sinners’’
Over the years we have had strong links with Sal da Terra church in Brazil. John Pedro has come across to the UK from Brazil, he has been to CLC many many times and has blessed us with his God given gift of dance. His next move is to travel to Japan and share the love of Jesus with them. Below is his vision if this touches your heart and you want to support him financially please let the CLC office know.
Mission:
To glorify God by the urgent evangelising of Japan, country with only 1 % Christians.Country where God has put a great love in my heart, since I was 5 years old.
Vision:
Through God’s grace the vision is church planting, formation of new leaders for a new generation, the emergent generation, mobilizing moments of street evangelism through different types of arts like street dance, outcry and prayer so that the generation in Japan can be reached by the love of Jesus Christ.
Ministry:
Nowadays the church deals with deep changes in the society with new concepts and influences, an environment that must be reached by the love of Jesus Christ. The time has changed and it will never be the same again, to bear fruits I need to find the way of this new generation’s heart in Japan, surpassing my own paradigms to reach these people. I want to understand its culture and its values and am sure doing this I will be more efficient in my work of evangelization and discipleship. The more the church today insists and ministers in a vision based on the past, the less efficient it will be in the days to come, there is confusion between form and content.
The content, which is the God’s Word, the Bible, never changes, but the way of presenting this Word (the form), must change whenever necessary.
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God ‘s will is His good, pleasure and perfect will.”Romans 12:2
To live the good, perfect and pleasant will of God I must be always changing my mind knowing that in each season we bear the right fruit and in life there are seasons, changes within me and around me, a new from of thinking but the absolute God never changes.
My role in Japan is to shine the light of Christ; to be incarnate witness of God’s love. When this generation sees this love within me, I have faith that they will change their concept of God and church being able to enjoy the true love revealed through the Son Jesus Christ. There is no the vision, the great man, the ministry. God will be fully known only through the manifold expression of the whole Body, the church. So you are also a part of this vision as family in Christ and I count on your support and prayer, family in Christ that it is like a rope holding a bucket that represents myself, in a well where I will be going to the depths to rescue people and with your help I will return quickly to the surface.
